As some of you are aware, my day job is at the Library of Congress (important disclaimer: my job is totally unrelated to this site and my book!). Today, I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful teachers from around the country. I was asked by some librarian colleagues to talk about my book collecting hobby, my Web site, and my book at a workshop on Women’s History, during a part of the program focused on household technology. Some items from the Library’s collections were shown during an evening reception, and I got to sign some books. While my portion was just one itty bitty slice of the two-day workshop, it was much fun to talk about my hobby with the teachers, and I never tire of learning about what’s in our fabulous LoC collections!
